Editors note: There will be another casting call at the end of July for Pine Tree Players fall production of Bob’s Your Elf. Check back on the Audition page of our website in early June.

Pine Tree Players is excited to announce a casting call for Seminar, a provocative Broadway comedy by Pulitzer Prize nominee Theresa Rebeck. Auditions will take place on August 19 and 22, 2024, and we’re looking for talented individuals to fill multiple roles!

In Seminar, four aspiring novelists enroll in a private writing class with Leonard, an acclaimed literary figure. Under his unorthodox, often brutal guidance, tensions rise as alliances form and break, hearts are tested, and the battle of wits escalates. The play promises sharp humor, compelling characters, and intense moments.

Performance dates are set for November 20, 2024. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this captivating production!

Artist Spotlight: Anastasia St. Amand

Anastasia’s connection to theatre began early, sparked by a junior high school production that made something click deep inside. “I saw a production the grade 8s had created for a ‘Welcome New Students’ night and felt an intense pull to be involved,” she recalls. “I haven’t stopped yet.” That lifelong passion eventually led her to Pine Tree Players, where she first appeared as an actor in the 2018 Canmore Summer Theatre Festival production of Romeo and Juliet, and earlier that same year she was the fight director for I Hate Hamlet.
