IMPROV Drop-In
Learn the basics of improv. BE in the moment. Build confidence. Have a laugh. Meet new friends.
This new 12-week program offers free weekly improv drop-in sessions, three guest-led skill-building workshops, and an optional low-pressure performance opportunity.
The program is designed for Bow Valley residents aged 18 and older, including people who are completely new to improv or theatre.
Build confidence, practice active listening, express yourself creatively, and form connections within the community.
Every Wednesday starting September 23, 2026 from 7pm to 9pm

Timothy Eckmier (He/him)
Timothy is a Canmore based performer and acting coach originally from Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. He studied Theatre Performance at Humber College and Improv for Actors with The Second City in Toronto. Timothy created the Banff Theatre Collective, Bad Altitude Improv team, Collective Insanity Improv team and the Ridge Theatre Festival in Banff. Timothy has taught theatre and improv classes and trained actors for over 10 years. He has numerous credits in stage, print and media, commercials and film. He continues to pursue his passion for acting and performing while encouraging others to be in the moment, build confidence, gain acting skills, and have a super awesome time doing it!
