Creative Spark Inc. (aka CSI) – Founder and program director. Rob has facilitated many water colour classes across Canada and in Europe. CSI participants have written, directed, filmed, edited and performed a number of PSAs (Public Service Announcements) supporting youth mental health.

OF INTEREST: In 1987 Rob worked with Second City Improv in Toronto. Upon arriving in Canmore, he founded the Canmore Improv Association (aka CIA).

Previously a board member of Pine Tree Players, Rob contributed to the 2013 restoration of the Canmore Miners’ Union Hall.

Rob currently serves as board chair and director for Creative Spark Inc. Logon for Mental Wellness. CSI focusses on linking creative expression with mental health. All activities are free of charge to participants, pre-planned and subject to peer review. As well, all financial affairs are in ‘good standing’ with CRA (Canada Revenue Agency). Mr. Heighington maintains active (yearly) RCMP clearance, his role is 100% volunteer.

Recently retired, Rob was an information technology (IT) professional. He enjoys watercolour painting and baking bread. Rob lives in Canmore with his wife and their miniature schnauzer.
