Stage Management: Roles and Responsibilities is a 9 hour workshop that invites participants into the initial exploration of the script, conversations with directors and designers and paperwork creation to set yourself and the team up for success before going into rehearsal. We will use real script examples to have participants gain hands-on experience with identifying props, sound, lights, costumes etc. Stage Managers are leaders in the rehearsal room and an area that we will delve into as well is; how to create an accessible/welcoming space for ALL artists. This workshop is for you if you want to know more about how stage management interacts with the other departments or how stage managers communicate with actors and directors or even if you just want a deeper understanding of theatre in general.

This 2 day workshop is February 24 from 10:30am to 5:30pm and February 25 from 10:00am to 2:30pm. There will be time set aside for a lunch break, please your own food/snacks/water/coffee.
