The Canmore Summer Theatre Festival (CSTF) is an annual outdoor theatre festival. A unique aspect of the CSTF is that volunteers from Pine Tree Players perform alongside and learn from theatre professionals and emerging artists.

This year, the CSTF team is excited to present Dracula by Kate Hamill loosed based on the novel by Bram Stoker, directed by Shelby Reinitz and The Snow Queen by Charles Way based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Kelsey James. Performances will take place outdoors at the Stan Rogers Stage in Centennial Park, Canmore.

Auditions will take place February 29 and March 3 and callbacks will be March 10 in Canmore, AB. This year we will be offering relaxed auditions upon request to accomodate those that need a bit more time to acclimate to the space, and/or to try things multiple times, etc. Zoom auditions are also available upon request.

We encourage auditions from diverse artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

The dates of the festival are as follows:

Rehearsals – start April 7, Sundays 10AM-6PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-9:00PM
Tech/Dress Rehearsals – July 6-8
Festival Run – The Festival Run is July 10-21, with performances of The Snow Queen at 1pm and Dracula at 7pm. There will be no performances on July 15 and 16.
