Jack Paterson

Translator

Jack (he/him) is a Vancouver theatre maker, translator, and creative producer whose practice has taken him across Canada, UK, EU,  and Asia. His work ranges from cross-cultural, multi-lingual, and multi-disciplinary creations to new texts and translations. He trained at Circle in the Square (NYC, USA), The University of Performing Arts (Moscow, RU), Indonesian Institute of the Arts (Denpasar, ID) and received his MFA from East 15 Acting School and University of Essex (London, UK). Recent projects include: The Creatus Project – Creative access for senior artists (PAL Vancouver); New Translation Canada – connecting artists across Canada’s lingual divides (Inter-Provincial); Variations in Light inspired by the Ramayana (Sanggar Paripurna, ID); Palazzo del Mondo with Signdance Collective (Farnese Palace, IT);  Flausen+ International Catalyst (Tor6, DE). www.JackPatersonTheatre.com
