Pine Tree Players is pleased to present The Emperor’s New Clothes adapted by Timothy Mason, story by Hans Christian Andersen, directed by Tyler McClaron as part of the Canmore Summer Theatre Festival. The performance on Friday July 22 will have live audio description provide by Mark Hopkins in partnership with Inside Out Theatre.

When the Emperor refuses to wear any article of clothing twice, the townsfolk spend every day making new clothes. But everything grinds to a halt when two charming strangers arrive in town. They claim that they can create the latest thing in fashion; invisible clothes which can only be seen by those who are wise. How will the Empire’s leaders handle the arrival of these strangers… of these clothes…. of this test…? Join us for this fun, family-friendly take on the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen.

Please bring your own seating, blankets and festival chairs are preferred.
