The Canmore Summer Theatre Festival (CSTF) is an annual outdoor theatre festival. A unique aspect of the CSTF is that volunteers from Pine Tree Players perform alongside and learn from theatre professionals and emerging artists.

This year, the CSTF team is excited to present Sense and Sensibility by Kate Hamill based on the novel by Jane Austen, directed by Shelby Reinitz and I Was a Rat by Barbara Field based on book by Philip Pullman, directed by Tyler McClaron. Performances will take place outdoors at the Stan Rogers Stage in Centennial Park, Canmore.

Auditions will take place March 19 and 21 in Canmore. Call backs will be on March 26 in Canmore.

We encourage auditions from diverse artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

The dates of the festival are as follows:

Rehearsals – start April 16, Sundays 10AM-6PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-9:00PM
Tech Rehearsals – July 8-11
Festival Run – The Festival Run is July 12-23, with performances of The I Was a Rat at 1pm and Sense and Sensibility at 7pm. There will be no performances on July 17 and 18.
