Pine Tree Players, artsPlace, and DIY Theatre, a Calgary-based theatre company, are pleased to present 52 Pick-up by TJ Dawe and Rita Bozi, directed by Shelby Nicole Reinitz September 18-22 at artsPlace.

52 scenes. One love story. Things are about to get…complicated.

52 Pick-up is a typical relationship told in a not so typical way. The story begins with actors tossing 52 cards with 52 scene titles in the air, and unfolds in a different way every night.

Auditions will take place June 6-8 in Canmore. We encourage auditions from diverse artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.

W (All genders 20s – 30s)* – Outgoing, Worldly
M (All genders 20s to 30s)* – Homebody

Both roles involve stage intimacy in the form of a kiss.

 

Key dates:

Rehearsals – 9-12 hours per week June 13 to September 14, Thursday and Friday evenings and Saturday daytime
Tech Rehearsal – Monday evening September 16
Dress Rehearsal – Tuesday evening September 17
Performances – Sept 18-21 7:30pm and Sept 22 2pm
