Relaxed Performances
Relaxed performances are tailored to create a welcoming environment for audience members who may benefit from a more accommodating atmosphere. This includes individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, learning disabilities, dementia, parents with infants, or anyone who finds the traditional theatre setting challenging.
To make the experience more comfortable, we implement small adjustments to both the production and the overall experience. These adjustments, which can vary depending on the specific production, may involve lowering the volume of loud sounds and special effects, minimizing or removing strobe lighting, and keeping the house lights slightly brighter to allow patrons to exit our venue easily if needed.
Above all, we aim to create a safe space where everyone is free to enjoy the performance in their own way. Whether you need to make some noise, move around, or step out to take a break in the designated chill room, you are welcome here.
For people who require a support person we offer free admission for the support person via the Access2 card program.
We welcome your feedback. Please contact us if you have suggestions on how we can improve.
