Pine Tree Players is pleased to present Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy by Kate Hamill based loosely on the novel by Bram Stoker, directed by Shelby Reinitz.

The performance on Saturday July 13 will have live audio description provided by Courtney Michele.

In this darkly comic new adaptation, award-winning playwright Kate Hamill sinks her teeth into Bram Stoker’s seductive tale of Victorian vampires. There are no damsels in distress, no romanticized villains—just people fighting for good in a dark world where charming predators lurk around every corner. At times comical and campy, at times deeply unsettling, this bloody romp is a thought-provoking take on the classic story of Dracula.

This play contains:

Themes of love, abuse, and violence;

Depictions of pregnancy, intimate partner violence, seizures, frenzied mental agitation, self-harm, death and suicide;

Implication of infant cruelty; and

Presence of stage blood, stakes, and knives.
