Pine Tree Players is excited to produce Stage Kiss by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Amanda Goldberg.
Art imitates Life. Life imitates Art. When two actors with a history are thrown together as romantic leads in a forgotten 1930s melodrama, they quickly lose touch with reality as the lines between offstage and onstage begin to blur. Stage Kiss captures Sarah Ruhl’s singular voice; it is a charming tale about what happens when lovers share a stage kiss—or when actors share a real one.
Performances will take place at the Canmore Miners’ Union Hall November 15-19 and 23-25, 2023.
Auditions will take place Friday June 23 and Saturday June 24 in Canmore, AB. For the audition, please prepare a contemporary theatrical monologue of your choosing that is no longer than 2 minutes. The following websites have a good selection of monologues – https://www.backstage.com/monologues/contemporary, www.notmyshoes.net/monologues, www.monologuedb.com.
