Pine Tree Players is excited to produce Little Shop of Horrors, with Book and Lyrics by Howard Ashman, Music by Alan Menkin, directed by Cheryl Naylor with vocal director Nicole Kowalewski and band director Ryan Stelter.
A deviously delicious Broadway smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store and promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Seymour as long as he keeps feeding it human flesh and blood.
Performances will take place at the Canmore Miners’ Union Hall April 17-21 and 25-27, 2024.
Auditions will take place Tuesday November 28 and Thursday November 30 in Canmore, AB. For the auditions please prepare one of the monologues in the document linked here. Additionally please prepare to sing a verse and chorus from any musical of your choosing using a backing track available online. We will provide a bluetooth speaker, please bring your own backing track on your phone or tablet.
We encourage auditions from performers aged 16 and older of all backgrounds, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
